The food is OK, though the quality and quantity varies from day to day. They hotel has room service which is not a given in NY after the COVID related down scaling of services in hotels due to lack of guests and staff. There is a 10$ voucher that you can use every day in the bar. The staff is (mostly) friendly and courteous. The rooms are rather pricy but that’s normal in NY, especially if you have a room overlooking Times Square. Overall, I had a good experience in the hotel.

The corridor outside our room was dense smoke like there was a fire! I went to reception who did not seem phased and move us to another floor! No attempt was made to locate the offender all be it there was no doubt it was coming from the room next to ours! The rest of the stay 6 days was uneventful until we checked out! We made sure there was not any transaction on our credit card which you are required to leave at booking in, we were told there was not however when return to the Uk we discovered £1078 had been taken from both parties credit cards! Reported to card company who directed us back to hotel as it was made there! Hotel does not reply to emails and when you ring will not discuss!!! Be very careful, we are now told by Virgin who we booked holiday with it will take in excess of 28 days to sort out, in the mean time we will still have to pay interest on card which will not be refunded On our first evening at 0130hrs we were spoken to a strong smell of cannabis so much we were sick. New York | 0.35km from Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge The reason for the poor review only has to be due to what I can only describe as a dangerous event. I will be staying at more of them in the future. (Always been a Marriott girl.) But I am profoundly happy and already got the Hilton branded credit card. They have all been disappointing/underwhelming compared to their massive cost.) I am new to Hilton brand. (I have overpaid for 4 and 5 star hotels 3 times in Miami, Nashville and Savannah in the last 10 mos. Bottom line - Many hotels these days are short staffed and their quality has vastly diminished. The rooms are pretty big for NYC, especially at this price point. They even greeted me with 2 bottled waters for being in their loyalty program.
#MAGIC HOUR ROOFTOP HOTEL UPGRADE#
They let us check in early when we got there at 9 am and gave us a free upgrade on the top floor. I travel monthly and I was amazed at how the staff were so welcoming, happy and very flexible. (My only “complaint” is that the rooms they serve the breakfast in are very crowded. The selection is huge, with fruit, scrambled eggs, meat, breads and all the fluffy omelets you want. The breakfast is wonderful for a hotel, especially one included in the rate. The location is fantastic in mid-town near Macy’s and the Empire State Building. This place is packed with value and comfort. I cannot say enough things to describe how happy we are with the experience. New York | 0.32km from Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge This is a WONDERFUL hotel.
